As the owner and President of Simply Counted and Tax Inc, my responsibilities include overseeing our staff accountants, as well as providing compilation and review services for our monthly and quarterly clients. I also assist with handling the daily accounting for many of our clients from accounts receivable and payable, multi-state sales taxes, payroll processing, financial reporting and tax reporting.
I graduated from Ferris State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. In 2022, I took the SEE exam for the IRS and received my Enrolled Agent credential. I have 5 years of experience in manufacturing as a Production Scheduler, where I was responsible for the manufacturing schedule and meeting product deadlines. This position also gave me experience in inventory control. I have been at Simply Counted since 2011, and I love the environment we have established here.
My husband and I met during our first semester of college. We got married in 2006. We now have three beautiful children who keep us very busy. My husband Tim grew up in Holland, while I am not a born and raised Michigander. Go TEXAS!! However, I am thrilled to raise our children in this wonderful lakeshore community of Holland Michigan.
I enjoy volunteering at my local church where I serve on the A/V tech team and occasionally sing with the band. I have also volunteered in children’s ministry, teaching Preschool through 1st grade children about God and his abundant love for us.
My hobbies include cooking, reading, knitting, camping, and anything else outdoors. While I also enjoy being out with people, I am very much an otrovert that needs to have quiet time with just me and my family at home.
