I graduated from Davenport University in May of 2023 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Simply Counted is my first full-time job in accounting, but I’ve previously worked as a bookkeeper and a controller’s assistant in part-time roles while attending college.
I always knew that I wanted to go into business, and during high school, I decided to pursue accounting after taking a high school accounting class. Although the specific type of accounting has changed several times, I love the idea of working to help small businesses and consider them the backbone of America.
West Michigan has been my home for my entire life, mainly in Zeeland or Beaverdam. Currently, I live with my sister and our five pets, which include two dogs named Krista and Max, and three cats named Theodore Roosevelt (Theo), Franklin D. Roosevelt (Frank), and Ladybird Johnson (Ladybird).
Apart from my work, I enjoy various hobbies, including video gaming and Dungeons and Dragons. I also enjoy sewing, reading, and cooking.
