Who We Are

Simply Counted & Tax is a public accounting firm in Holland MI, offering a variety of services including CFO services, payroll, consulting, bookkeeping services, and much more… to support your business needs. Our team consists of professional accountants, as well as a human resource expert and consultant, enabling us to service clients throughout the United States.

History

The journey of Simply Counted & Tax Inc. started with Diana Kasza, former President, passion to serve business owners after serving as a controller of a medium-size corporation. Prior to the controller position, she served as a staff accountant for 5 years with a public accounting firm in Big Rapids, Michigan. The inception of Simply Counted Business Services, Inc. began in 1997 as a sole proprietorship. The original name was The Mammen Group Inc., which was incorporated in 2002. The office moved to our current location in 2010, with one staff member.

In 2012, we changed our name from the Mammen Group, Inc. to Simply Counted Business Services, Inc. It better defines our environment and the passion we have for serving clients.

Patricia Diekema came on board with our team in 2011. She and Diana worked side by side for many years. Patricia took over the tax portion of the business in 2015 and Simply Tax Inc was created. Patricia remained a senior accountant with Simply Counted Business Services, Inc. while growing the tax services.

Diana’s exit plan was to retire in November 2024, with Patricia eagerly continuing the passion to service the small & medium size businesses. We once again changed our business name by merging the Simply Counted Business Services and the Simply Tax Inc names together. Thus, the re-brand to Simply Counted & Tax Inc. This better shows the combination of our accounting and tax services under one company name.
